Messages from the pastors at FPC

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve
others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

Giving Provides Perspective
A Message from the Stewardship Committee

Where do you place your treasure? Have you ever reviewed your annual spending and been shocked to realize how much
you spend every year on nonessentials that provide you with comfort? We are blessed to be able to enjoy take-out dinners
so we don’t have to cook, cable TV to entertain us, smart phones, landscaping services…and the list goes on and on. When you
review your spending, what does it tell you about your values and priorities?

We read in Matthew 6:21, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Where is your heart? We invite you to think about how you might use your treasure to demonstrate your love for the church,
and for those who most need the church’s message of hope and grace. As individuals, we can pray for less dependence on our
treasure, and greater dependence on God. We can pray to have the courage to step out of our comfort zones and into a place
of peace and joy that comes from trusting in God’s love and serving Christ.

We invite you to join with your fellow FPC members as we commit Our Hands and our gifts of personal treasure to the work of
the church, in grateful response to God’s Gift of sacrificial love for us. Your tithes and offerings will help Change Lives and Make
Disciples. What a beautiful return on your investment!

John Simpson, Brian Thoreson & Bob Wallhaus
