If so, you might be interested to know about Book Talk, a monthly small group at FPC. They gather on the second Friday of the month at 10:30 AM in the library (and via Zoom). The group selects the books they read and have chosen books for the rest of the year.

A rainy afternoon was basically all it took for Bubble Word Jam to get me. I downloaded it thinking I would play one or two levels, but the whole category-sorting thing pulled me in. It is not about spelling words. It is about figuring out why certain words belong together, then merging the right bubbles before wasting too many moves.
Saw Game is hard in a random mobile game ad and downloaded it thinking I would delete it after lunch. Bad call. It is this clean little puzzle game where the screen lies to you half the time, and the answer might be in the text, behind a button, inside the phone sensors, or just sitting there while you overthink it. I kept saying one more level until my coffee was cold.
pixel flow looked like a throwaway download, but the board logic pulled me in. You clear colored pixels with matching pigs, and the pigs need enough targets to use their ammo. The more you play, the more you start asking what color the level is protecting in the middle. That’s what made me keep going instead of deleting it after ten minutes.
This is such a great reflection on the joy of reading! There really is nothing like getting lost in a good book and letting your imagination take over. It’s one of those simple pleasures that can turn any quiet moment into an adventure.
I’ve always found that the best reading happens when you are truly able to unplug and relax.
